Gulf Coast Regional Medical Center is pleased to offer pediatric sedation services for infants, children and adolescents, both inpatient

and outpatient. The new service can be utilized for several procedures/modalities including:

• MRI

• CT scan

• Dressing changes for wounds

• Nuclear medicine

• Hearing evaluations (auditory brainstem response or ABR)

• Lumbar punctures (spinal taps)

• PICC placements

• Interventional radiology procedures

• EEG

• Echocardiogram

Our pediatric intensivists, registered nurses and child life specialist work very closely with our patients and families to determine the

most appropriate sedation plan.
