Gulf Coast Regional Medical Center has announced the appointment of Brad Griffin as Chief Executive Officer effective January 1, 2017. He most recently served as Chief Executive Officer at Colleton Medical Center in Waterboro, SC. Over the past 3 years, Brad has lead the Colleton team in the expansion of services, facility renovations and technological advancements. Under his leadership, the hospital received an “A” rating for hospital safety from The Leapfrog Group, achieved Chest Pain Center certification by The Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care, named Top Performer on Key Quality Measures by The Joint Commission five years in a row and launched Neurology and Critical Care telemedicine programs. Prior to this position, he was the Chief Operating Officer for Ocala Health System and Chief Operating Officer at Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin, GA.
Throughout his healthcare career, Brad has been committed to community involvement; he has served as the Finance Chairman for the Heart of Florida Health Clinic and has been a board member for the Heart of Georgia United Way, the Macon Volunteer Clinic and the College of Central Florida Foundation. He recently served as Past President, Walterboro-Colleton County Chamber of Commerce and Past Campaign Chairman, Walterboro-Colleton County March of Dimes. He received his Masters of Health Administration and Business Administration from Georgia State University and his undergraduate degree from Mercer University in Finance and Computer Information Systems.
