  • Gulf Coast Medical Center Hosts Free “Brunch at the Boatyard Women’s Health Seminar"

Panama City, FL – Gulf Coast Medical Center’s Brunch at the Boatyard Women’s Health Seminar returns Saturday, September 11.  Physician speakers include Dr. Michael Taylor, pediatric surgeon; Dr. Mike McCormick, orthopedic surgeon; and Dr. Tricia Percy, Ob/Gyn.  The hospital’s Assistant Chief Nursing Office Rose McKelvie, RN will also talk about how nurse navigators are improving women’s health.  Brunch at the Boatyard restaurant is served starting at 8:30 a.m. with the first of three physician speakers starting at 9:00 a.m.  The event is free, but an RSVP is required.  To RSVP, call 747-3600.

“Women are the healthcare experts for their families.  The seminar series is helping women to be better informed about their health and the health of their families,” says McKelvie.  “Through our seminars we provide valuable health information in a relaxed setting.  Attendees especially enjoy the opportunity to ask physicians questions after each presentation.”  Nearly 180 women attended the May seminar.

Physician speakers for the September seminar will focus on:

  • Dr. Michael Taylor: Pediatric Surgery and Pediatric Emergency Care
  • Dr. Mike McCormick: Female-Specific Orthopedic Implants
  • Dr. Tricia Percy: Post-Partum Depression
